Cask ales are a thing of beauty and one of life’s great pleasures. It is a traditional British way of making and serving beer. It is served around 53°F and is less carbonated. The flavors are more forward.  We change our cask offering very regularly.


English IPA       $6.50/Pint

English IPAs – as compared to American IPAs – are more balanced, less bitter, and typically use English hops. This one is brewed with English Maris Otter barley (the finest barley in the world) and wonderful East Kent Golding hops. EKGs have a lovely floral character and the Maris Otter has a full, almost nutty maltiness. We dry hopped the cask with a touch more EKG hops.  It’s a wonderful style of beer for the beer engine.


Light and Easy


Golden Number Ale       $5/Pint

Golden ales are a delicate balance of malt and hops. To achieve this perfect balance, the ratio of malt and hops is based upon the actual golden number, the Fibonacci Sequence, or Phi as the Greeks knew it. We brew it floor-malted  Maris Otter grown on the eastern coast of England. You can almost taste the salt air in the malt.


Venus Belgian White Ale       $5/Pint

It is named after Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love (aka, Aphrodite, Ishtar). This beer seems to have a mesmerizing effect on those who imbibe. There are 4 children who have entered this world solely because of this beer. Four that we know of. Many more attempts have been made. We brew it with malted wheat, unmalted wheat and a touch of oats. The unmalted wheat gives it a starchy, cloudy, almost milky appearance (that’s how the style got its name ‘white’). We use fresh orange peels that we zest by hand and freshly ground coriander, which we grind by hand.

Victorian English Ale     $5/Pint

This is a classic English-style ale. We were fortunate enough to get a hold of some incredible heritage barley, the Chevallier variety, that was grown in England in the 1800s and was highly sought after. It was cross bread in the early 1900s and all but disappeared. Fortunately the seed was preserved and for the first time in over 100 years they are growing this beautiful barley once again. Together with the classic English East Kent Golding hop, which imparts a nice flowery aroma, and a yeast from an old Yorkshire brewery, which adds a beautiful cherry and peach note, it is a simple beer, yet remarkable in its subtlety.




Hoppy and Refreshing


Threshold (Belgo IPA)      $6.00/13.3 oz Schwenker

Thresholds are those beckoning points of entering new places. Oftentimes once we cross Thresholds we cannot return- or at least return the same as once were. With beer high gravity Belgian beers and beautifully hoppy IPAs were Threshold beers for our Brewmaster. Once he had them he was never the same. This beer is combination of a big Belgian-style using a fruity Trappist yeast, yet we hopped it like a bold IPA with Citra, Comet, Blanc, Mandarina, Nelson, Huell Melon and then we dry hopped it with more Citra, Mandarin and Nelson. The glass fills with aromas of tangerine, mandarin orange, lime zest, papaya and passion fruit. Try one – you’ll never be the same!

We Couldn’t Think of a Good Name For This IPA       $6.50/Pint

This American IPA is hopped with El Dorado, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe and Cascade and then dry hopped with more El Dorado, more Nelson and Comet. It’s got a nice grapefruit, gooseberry, lime, tropical fruit and watermelon aroma…..it just needs a cool name. Fresh IPAs just can’t be beat.


Blood Orange Milkshake IPA $6.50/pint
Ooooo, this is nice. We added fresh blood orange, vanilla and a bit of milk sugar to our IPA. Yes, it’s tasty.



The Man of 1000 Voices Pale Ale     $5/Pint

Pale Ales are perhaps the classic American beer. This one is an updated version using several newer hop varieties. We start with English barley as it has a fuller, rounder flavor. We  hopped it in the kettle with Amarillo, Blanc and Falconers. We then dry hopped it with more Blanc. A pint of a fresh, crisp Pale Ale is a good thing. It’s named for Mel Blanc, whose  many cartoon voices sound even better after a pint or two of this pale ale.


Fuller-Bodied Big Beers


Seeing Dubbel           $9.95/Schwenker

It’s on the upper end of the scale for the style as far as strength. It has a tawny brown color, with toffee and caramel malt flavors. The yeast adds a plumb, raisin and spice character.


Seeing Dubbel  3.5 Years Old         Vintage  8/17/14       $9.95/Schwenker

Aged 3.5 years It’s on the upper end of the scale for the style as far as strength. It has a tawny brown color, with toffee and caramel malt flavors.  The yeast adds a plum, raisin, and spice character. We keg condition ours which adds a nice complexity.

Square Peg           Vintage  8/17/14            $9.95/Schwenker

This is our Seeing Dubbel that we then aged  for four months in a JD whiskey barrel. The whiskey and vanilla flavors  from the barrel  meld perfectly with the character of the Dubbel. As it has aged  fruit flavors form adding even more complexity.


Old Timey Bourbon barrel-aged Barleywine:      $9.95/Schwenker

What a beautiful beer. Barleywines are such a perfect style of beer. Ours is brewed with English barley and boiled for over 4 hours to achieve a nice depth of malt flavor. We were lucky to get a Fiddler Bourbon barrel from our friends at ASW, the local distiller of the wonderful Fiddler Bourbon. We aged our barleywine in there for about 6 months. Rich, luscious and full of beer goodness.





Dark and Delicious


Dad’s Stout       $5/Pint

This is the kind of beer you want to have with your Dad. It’s a classic stout with lots of roasty malts. Dark, delicious and easy to drink. A pint of stout is such a joy. And a pint of stout on the beer engine will make you think you died, went to heaven and got a stout.

Coconut Brown Ale         $5.25/Pint

We toasted some organic coconut and added it to a keg of our Brown ale. The sweetness and roundness of the coconut is the perfect complement to the flavors of the brown ale. Very tasty.


Belgian Golden Strong Ale       $9.95/Schwenker

More of a deep golden color with a combination of sweet flavors from the malt, peach and berry fruit flavors from the yeast, and slight fruity and citrusy flavors from the hops. It’s a great blend of flavors providing for a nice complexity. The nitrogen adds a wonderful, smooth, creamy texture to the beer. Be careful with this one!

Elmers Gluten Free           $5/Pint

A light and refreshing buckwheat and sorghum based beer. Fairly hoppy with a citrus nose.  Best gluten free beer you will ever  taste.
